We started off and are still a local taxi company in Levenmouth in Fife after 38 years.

However in 2025, a completely different business was started completely focused on tours of Scotland to interesting and famous places. Thus www.taxi-tours-scotland.com was born.

It was obvious, that www.taxi-tours-scotland-historical.com would be of great interest to tourists because of the tours, we had driven customers on who requested such tours. Then there is www.taxi-tours-scotland-whisky.com. We have driven people to many distilleries and whisky experiences. That could be a whisky distillery tour or a tasting experience. We are located in the heart of Fife and surrounded by golf courses and yes, we get asked to drive golfers to golf courses. Thus we created yet another list containing golf courses, www.taxi-tours-golf-courses.com. The rationale to split the tours into seperate sections, was and is to make the lists of events easier for the customers to scroll through and its easier for us to update because we have even more to add to what we have listed.

The driver was essentially to become busier, doing what we already do. We have never advertised tours before because every year we take golfers to golf courses. We take whisky enthusiasts to distilleries and whisky experiences. We take tourists on historical tours and some customers want to go on any amount of niche tours and we just do it.

When we mapped what we have previously done, which is an indication of what is arriving predominantly during the tourist season, we easily got to 14 different tours. Bespoke was the one we have the most problems writing about, because that can be anywhere or anything, and can start with a run to Edinburgh, Dunfermline, St Andrews, or Perth as an example and that can completely change before we leave, or during the drive because we are human and we can be impulsive. So bespoke tours or impulsive tours can be very interesting. We do retail shopping tours. We steer our customers of tartan tat. IE poor quality imports because, it doesn’t reflect the beautiful craft work that is created in Scotland. However retail shopping can be luxury French, Italian and Swiss brands.

We are adding more tour destinations weekly, more tours monthly.

Thus, for years we have taken tourists on tours and unwittingly have become a taxi tour business during the tourist season.

We have vehicles for most occasions, ranging from 4 seats to 8 seats and around 18 vehicles, which has organically increased.

All vehicles are properly maintained and serviced more frequently than regular cars. We are registered with the council and all vehicles are inspected by them. We are a commercial business, and our business is the transportation from where people are located to where they want to go to. The only difference with a tour being, that we tend to drive people to more than one destination and it can be a half day, a day or longer.

We do not have stereotypical customers. The cudtomer can be from pretty much anywhere in the world and want to enjoy their stay in Scotland.

Our mission, is to make our customers vacations more memorable. Our main unique points over a limo company being, that yes, we know all of the main attractions but we also know many of the interesting attractions which are not rammed with tourists and we are not ruled by a clock or time focused on destinations unless prior appointment has been made. Some of the distillery tours are so busy, they give time slots for bookings. In some ways, it would appear ridiculous but they can only cope with so much volume and safety is the priority.

We very quickly get an idea of what the customer wants and if it’s just the famous places, then that is no problem. If you want to see and experience beyond normal tour parameters, we are happy to suggest places of undeniable interest.

We are not time sensitive. The day is not a race with 30 minutes here an hour there, 20 minutes for a coffee etc.

We don’t operate like that. We do what the you want to do.

We often have a set list of places for our customers to visit, but it’s common for them to change their minds and explore other options. We actually enjoy this flexibility. Our drivers are accustomed to it; for instance, if we start a golf tour and the weather turns bad, we easily switch to plan B. Our drivers are friendly and well-informed, eager to ensure you have a great day.

The drivers are themselves, are polite, willing and have a sense of humour. They are real people. What you see, is what you get.

They are all well trained and enjoy driving. All drivers are vetted. They all have flexibility and a good manner. They are a safety orientated and want to keep their customers safe
